Squats got quite tough, but not too bad. Definitely not 100% full effort like the deadlifts on Thursday. Everything else was fine.

Serious volume going on here. Surely some pbs on the horizon.

Thanks!! I've dropped the major volume work back about a month ago after a big few months, particularly on the assistance stuff. There should be a new squat and deadlift PB in the bank, unsure of bench but fingers crossed be OK.

Hoping for 240/170/250 in April, they might end up in the gym rather than in comp, but will be happy with that Grin

Whys this?

I always like to save big PBs for the platform.

Well I want them to go in comp, certainly for squat and dead, but not sure about Bench.

I want to see what the max I have got from the 4 months work - which may not all come together on comp day, and will be able to refine the PBs with extra small steps as I'm likely to have quite large steps between lifts on the platform this time.

You'll probably have a bit of post comp supercompensation too, once you've recovered.

Trying to make the program harder by pausing squats?

Erm, yes. They felt nice. Tongue

Really bust clearing loads of stuff out the house and gardening, so knackered going into today's session.

Deadlift
100kg x5
140kg x5
180kg x5

205kg x5
205kg x5
205kg x5
205kg x5
205kg x5

Had to take a 15s breather during the last few sets, and a bit of thigh slide on a few reps - but overall happy enough. Was very tough though.

I think 205kg x5 is actually a rep PB, so not too bad Grin

Nothing else, as didn't have time and had to get home to knock and wall and fence down...
