Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22056 posts | Post Edited: 18.09.2018 @ 16:26 PM by Wayne_Cowdrey Bit of a random topic, but hopefully it's not a "ruining Sugden" type of thread that I'm regularly accused of producing! What have you encountered? Grass snake http://www.bbc.co.uk/essex/content/images/2007/07/26/grass_sna... Adder http://www.opalexplorenature.org/sites/default/files/7/image/a... Smooth snake http://www.new-forest-national-park.com/image-files/smooth-sna... My lifetime totals are... Grass snakes - 7 - 3 of them were dead. Adders - 1 - one was pointed out to me swimming in a lake when I was a kid, but it was a very indistinct sighting. Bit like a squatch sighting! Smooth snakes - 0 I want to encounter more! Unfortunately there are no apemen roaming the English countryside for me to try to catch glimpses of in my spare time, so I have to seek contentment in other ways

A member for 10 years and still no mouldy peanuts Member 1252, 4479 posts SQ 160, BP 110, DL 215485.0 kgs @ 98kgs UnEq | My girlfriend took a video of a grass snake going for a swim in the river next to a pub in Bedford the other day; I'd never seen a snake swimming in this country before. I used to live in Royston in Hertfordshire - the whole town is crawling with Grass Snakes, Adders, Viviparous lizards and common lizards. I once walked into a brood of about 6 vipers on the heath there - they're pretty small, but have really evil reddy-orange colour eyes. They were not pleased to see me. I ran.
