Clean pulls off blocks: loads up to 90kg then more 70kgx6 which seems about right weight to work the technique.
KB Snatches: 3x20 (10 per side).

I think pulls of blocks are really good to address the problems I have keeping my back tight, improve hip drive and maybe keep some of my leg strength.

Exactly 2 weeks diet today and have lost 2.3kg, weigh 95.5kg this morning (started at 97.8kg).

Monday; Week 3; Heavy Singles

Back sore and tight from yesterday sub optimal.
Power Snatch: 2x64kg, 2x68kg, Fx72kg, 1x67kg, 1x70kg, 1x73kg, 1x75kg // sore back was messing with my setup. After the fail changed setup, lowered hips brought shoulders closer to the bar. It did the trick, 75kg was easy enough more in there, but not PB so left it rather that make back worse. Valuable lesson learnt on the setup.
Hypers: 3x12
Calf Curls: 3x20kg
1km on Exercise bike
3 attempts at a muscle up, with technique I will nail this.
Push up comp 30 strict, got beaten by a 70 year old man, sub optimal.

Muscle ups: 4 attempts 1 partial success, dabbed the wall on the way up
Pullups: 13 for a PB

Weigh in: 94.4kg // 3.4kg down
Power cleans +2 Jerks: 60kg,62,5kg, 65kg, 67.5kg, 70kg // worked with two of the younger guys, they got first proper comp next week.
Clean pulls off blocks: up to 4x70kg // technique. TECHNIQUE
Pullups: 5,4,3,2,1 // did them back to back with 18 year old, fast paced but owned him.
Muscle ups: 4 fails

Super busy at work and having interviews! Got a face to face interview in shoreditch (London's "Silicon Valley") early next week.
Late into gym, one of our members is training in sports massage, so had a quick rub down.

Training bro, you should try it.
Muscle ups are awesome party trick, leg press is rehab for knee and do you even need me to explain a rubdown?

Missed Wed and Friday sessions due to interview nonsense! Couple of the jobs are looking good, more will be revealed once I get a firm offer.

Went in with the intention of making up for missed Wed/Fri session, lesson 1, its not possible to make up for missed sessions.
Foam Roll
Warm up
Clean and Jerk: 2x60kg, 2x70kg, 2x75kg, 1x80kg, 1x83kg // as per video.
Power cleans: 2x83kg, 3x85kg, 88kg 1F1F, 91kg 1F // 3 fails so left it.
Pullups: 5,4,4,4,3 // at least these are on track


Overall a s**t session and missed the planned volume/intensity.
Cleans are rubbish, need to extend more and move feet wide to get some kind of dip. Back looks fairly flat but could maybe pin shoulder back bit more.
Jerks ok considering I am leading with the wrong foot. Look fairly rapid, but need to get front foot further in front.

Monday; Cycle 2; Week 2 Transitional; bw 92.6kg

Warmup
OH Squats: 8xbw, 2x8 20kg
Snatch: 2x30kg, 2x40kg, 2x50kg, 2x55kg, 2x60kg, 2x64kg, 2x68kg, 2x71kg, F+1 74kg // Which is actually exactly the same as last cycle. So next cycle, will go for 2x73kg instead.
Eccentric left leg press: 4x8 up to 100kg // started getting heavier on these. Apparently from my understanding its the load that is meant to "straighten out" the tendon and aid healing. Obviously wont unrealistically push through any pain.
Hypers: 2x8
Muscle up: f, 1 PB! , f
Pullups: 5,4,4,4,4 // worked in with young Alex so no rest between sets, compared to my normal 3 minutes.
Stretch

At least you PB'd in a lift closely correlated with the snatch or clean and jerk! Okay I'm just jealous Happy

I was waiting on the sloppy snatch lock out, not hating on my muscle up skillz!

Did you just get aids between your weighin and the video? Surely you can't be more than 70kg in that vid!!!!

Lack of tan takes off about 20kg, not all of us have been gifted with a glowing turkish complexion. 74kg snatch at 70kg bodyweight would be awesome though, maybe the only shot at bodyweight snatch I will get?

The video wouldn't load when I commented. See it no though.

You might benefit from actively trying to think about stomping your heels down and snapping your arms locked at the same time.

OH Squats: 5xbw, 2x5 20kg
P Clean and Jerk: 3x60kg, 2x70kg, 2x75kg, 1x80kg, 1 (slight press),1 85kg // jerk feeling ok, going up 2kg a session, leading now with right foot to save left knee. Still managed to bang my knee with a poorly executed clean, going to leave a bruise.
Pullups: 5,5,4,4,4 // left wrist sore, sub optimal
Plank: 90 seconds +5kg, 60 seconds +10kg, 60 seconds 20kg // for the beach
Stretch
