a cynical old scrote Member 68, 6840 posts SQ 255, BP 132.5, DL 250637.5 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | Adlington saw some stylish and bold squatting from young Mr Lohan tonight, beating his PB single no less than 3 times in one night, and joining the 500lb club!! Great guts, great squatting!!!

still a devious weightlifting bastard Member 43, 14374 posts | Credit where it's due. Aaron takes his fair share of stick, and takes it well, but the guy was on fire tonight. A 40lb PB to crack the 5Ton mark. Fair play to you son. Give her one for me. In fact pretend you're me and do a proper job

always lookIng for the extra UT2 work. Member 9, 18279 posts SQ 210, BP 167.5, DL 260637.5 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | I actually think it's impossible NOT to get a pb with big Phil shouting at you. Add in to the mix fat Pete spotting and 46+ stone of men is also a spotting PB for body weight. Nevertheless, good work Aaron.

THAT was a spotter PB. | ||

It was well under Jeff had the camera, he's 6' and was standing on a raised platform. Not the best angle. If every sqt was like that one refs would be out of a job

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17871 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Very nice squatting Aaron. A please to watch and to spot for, and despite what some who weren't even there are trying to imply, thay were all well deep. In fact one could argue too deep, but I won't. Just bask in the spotlight while you can, in a very short time, it will be history and a pb hungary Big Phil will demand more. Sublime squatting, and if anyone wants to argue, then by the Lord Harry, I'll knock him to the floor.

Have to say mate, not many posts piss me off but 4 1/2 hours after reading the above yours still does. The original thread is about a fella breaking a huge barrier, vastly improving on a lift, after vastly improving his training. The absence of any smilies leads above me to believe that the post is genuine. For info, the last squat was watched at the time by no less than 5 nation or former national champions with more experience than you could shake a s**tty stick at. Non of them give an ounce of undue credit with max attempts. In short, if they see you do it, it's done. The question was never asked by them. Do you honestly believe it should be by you?

Does f*ck all for SugdenBarbell.co.uk Member 1, 7173 posts SQ 182.5, BP 110, DL 205497.5 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq Administrator | I agree with some of what you're saying Andy, let's definitely not take anything away from Aaron's great achievement - it's a big milestone. But at the same time, if you post videos on the internet then you should come to expect these sorts of questions or comments. Rick's 500lb deadlift video - Tony (and others) posted telling him they thought it would get reds for being hitched; I didn't see anyone having a go at them? Alex wasn't to know there were 5 champions watching the squat, so if the depth looks questionable then I don't think asking the question is such a big issue. I suspect he was actually curious in whether it was in or not and whether the angle was deceiving. He is a beginner and is still learning what depth is. I don't think you can read too much into the lack of smilies either. I'm sure he wasn't trying to put the squat down in any form, he is a good lad I can vouch for that.
