Hi everyoneI'm 10 months on from my first comp and in love with the sport more than ever! 3 comps down and 2 to go to finish off the year. I'm still progressing nicely and i have decided to stay on Open as i like my food to much to compete at U105.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support, your praise will help me reach my end of year goals of a 180 paused bench, 250 squat, 320 deadlift, 150 push press and 140 strict press.

Yeah I've always focused on having strong arms. I'm hoping this approach will help prevent a biceps injury in certain events like the stones or tyre flip. Also I'm a massive fan of Magnus Samuelson and he probably has/had the strongest arms in the world....the mans a legend!

Drove down to just near Truro to train Log for the first time with Ryan. Had to leave my ego at the door as I didn't quite have the technique nailed down.

Well chuffed with the deadlift, think there's a bit more there yet! First time loading kegs to a 52" platform so basically just learning the tech for it.

17/03/2012Felt really off today everything seemed to feel really heavy. I think its my body's way of telling me to switch things up. I really need to stop chasing the numbers too! I never normally do it and its definitely having a negative effect. Also I don't think my cns has recovered from maxing on the Deadlift mid week.

19/03/2012Log technique is defiantly improving as I'm cleaning the log a lot better. Decided to back off at bit as i've been training for to near my max for too long.

Finally entered my first comp so training has now geared towards that. Tried the axle continental clean & press for the first time and managed to reach the comp weight! Well chuffed.
