Today middle of a heatwave, and electricity cut off so no fans in the gym. probably 40 in the shade, 37-38ish in the gym.

no confidence with these top end weights, because I have deadlifted around 6-7 times this year, and not many max singles

was going to go for reps but frankly couldn't be arsed, did 80x6 2 weeks ago

realised I really no longer enjoy certain aspects of strongman style training that come from not being particularly strong, specifically chasing weights no matter what, in order to get a certain event covered in a future comp. I will still do Dragons, but I will approach it as a training session with the boys and whatever comes on the events, comes. Feel fairly confident on 4, dog s**t on the above 2, don't feel properly trained for them. At least I've hit all the events once and did them ok, but never in a day together. And I won't really have an opportunity to rectify that as I won't have the ability to train much until then for one reason or another, moving, setting up home gym waiting for equipment etc

Whinge over, looking forward to completely moving my training over to weightlifting in September!

Well I'm planning on a bout of front squatting towards the end of summer so I'm not worried. I'll be aiming for 180. 100 feels heavy in the rack position at the moment due to lack of fronts or pushies. Will want my push press to increase tooo so I think the fronties will help with that heavy feeling.
