Cheers Mick, i only wished there was a point system strongman, i think thats the only chance i could win anything!!!!
Will, i was just messing around with the safe press, and then felt a twinge in my right lat from the heavy superyoking! Left it there for the night, not worth a injury a week out from comp!

Good stuff Ste. I don't know why I thought training yoke with you was a good idea. I though I would just take it easy, do a couple of runs with 280 or so, but you're a bloody nutter! No chance of slacking with you around!!
BTW the platform was 54" (so 4' 6").

Cheers for the positive response, and yeah Joni and JC, Ben is living up to his nickname THE FLASH! He was excellent on the stone carry!
Carl - Mark Haydock does the whole range of strongman comps and is and has organised events too.
Had a few grumbles about the comp though e.g the superyoke event was on an uneven grass field and if you slightly brushed the ground, the barrels that made up the weight of the of yoke fell off, and took 2 - 3 loaders to put them back on! I lost 20 secs due to the barrels falling off, and i could of probably finished the 25 course in that time! Lost me a few points which would of got me an even higher place! All it needed was some gaffer tape or strapping of some kind to keep the barrel tight on. I have a video being made up as we speak and will post asap, you can see from that what i mean!
