My Garmin is consistently halving the elevation gain on my rides. I know this because I occasionally map a ride on Strava before setting off. it's very annoying. Has anyone had this and how can it be fixed?

Awesome. Highly jealous.

I have my first tan line of the year and I was only out for just over an hour today.

Congratulations mate. You deserve a machine of that calibre.
2nd bottle cage would make it perfect though.

Pretty damn close. I ride a 60cm frame which adds a bit of weight, but short of an ultralight set of wheels (costing many Łks) and a slightly lighter stem I can't get her any lighter and it was at one stage the lightest frameset on the market.

Great meal choices. Mine is a dirty massive portion of fish, chips and mushy peas.

I now have a mental image of you doing push-ups in your living room with a laptop computer precariously balanced on your back!

You seem to have a good physique for benching from what I remember. I'm sure gains will come very soon.

Thank you. I take a week off training after a comp so it's an ideal time to take a holiday from work as well. I have done very little bar read, watch TV, eat and rest.
I was very happy with the result but that bench has to get sorted, less than bodyweight just isn't acceptable.

What's your favourite bank holiday meal? (If there ever is such a thing)

Re the bench press - there's plenty of scope there for sure. You train with some good lads who will be formulating plans as we type. Not the same thing, but can you do push-ups?

227.5/127.5/245 with room to spare. Very tidy mate.

Hope you're having a good Easter weekend.

Cuddles said:Picked up my new ride yesterday, she is stupidly light. The speed pick up is ridiculous. I now have no excuses.

Went and did 145km with 2000m of climbing. I'm not my fastest, but I'm not miles away either. That's 120km further than ive been on the road so far this year. Perfect weather for it.

Will post a pic later.

Nice! How close to the UCI weight limit do you reckon she is?

That's a cracking bike! I should know, I've got one. She.s served my well on lejog, the Italian Alps, and up and down the Dolomites. I paid Ł2k back in 2012 and while I know I could have got it cheaper in the end of year sales (I couldn't wait, needed it for lejog), I didn't regret paying it, not once. In short, I love that bike.

I've applied for a new job. If I get it, I'll treat myself and buy the bike.

If I don't get it, I'll cheer myself up by buying it.

Thoughts? Took a lot of self control to walk away from it this morning.

i'll bet your shagging has improved tenfold.

Everyone thinks I've been afflicted with some sort of horrible illness. I suppose I am 10 plus kgs lighter than I was which is an over 10% loss. My face and neck are noticeably thinner which is what people first notice I suppose.

Duracell bunny mate!

Doing some turbo work, indoor rowing, and some cycling on the roads.

God this journal's died a death. I've somehow kept it going since 2008. Think it's sadly on its last legs now.

You know you've got the cycling bug when:

...on a Sunday night, you're thinking of ways to lengthen your commute to work in order to get more base miles into the week.

Please feel free to contribute.

Hi mate. I don't think so, no. The main reason is that they hurt me.
