Row:

Weights:
Calf raise
Lat pulldown
Machine shoulder press
Leg press

I had a meal of salmon and broccoli before that row. I will never make that mistake again.

Going to max legal grip was the technique modification that gave me the most kgs over the years. It didn't take long either.

Hey!

I'm ok. Now that I've got kids, people just seem to invite themselves over without telling me!

Pros: no travelling around Christmas
Cons: pissed f**kers on my sofa on Christmas day

How are things with you?

Row: 4x 2k pieces @ 7:25 - 7:38 each.

Surprisingly hard work.

Then some stretching and calf work.

5k row - 19:08

Some calves and leg extensions.

Was a bit rushed for time today but pleasing 5k piece.

2k row in 6:48
30 min recovery row at 2:10 split

High incline smith bench
Machine shoulder press
Low incline smith bench
Machine chest press
Machine chest fly
Lat pulldown to behind
Lat pulldown to front wide grip
Lat pulldown to front narrow grip

Actually surprised myself with the power that I managed to put out on the 2k row today. Nice to know that I can still pull sub 7.

Back to the gym this morning to complete yesterday's workout.

10k row 40:39 stroking at 25/min

Narrow grip bench press
Hamstring curls
Shoulder press machine
Chest press machine
Machine chest fly
Leg extensions

BW pretty stable at 82.5kg which I'm pretty happy with. I was getting down to 81 and 81.5 when I was getting to longer bike rides in. I think this is kind of where I'll sit whilst still eating more of less what I like.

Have you also noticed that you smell better and are more attractive to women?

I hurt far less for sure. And as a result, apply no agents like deep heat and the like to aching body parts. So in a roundabout kind of way I do smell better now.

Obviously not an option if you're pursuing a powerlifting total, but if you're a long limbed athlete purely in pursuit of leg development, then swap back for front squats and do this in a heeled shoe. You can almost eliminate forward lean this way no matter how unfavourable your biomechanics. This has served me well.

Was quite slow today actually. That little lot took about 45 minutes! Took ages to get going on the fronts as things were a bit stiff and creaky lol
