Yeah, truck pulls always look awesome, can't deny that.

That wasn't directed at anyone inparticular Dave.

I'm just a bit fed up with the growing trend of competitors and those not involved at all hasselling/attacking promoter. It happened at UKSC Englands, BSM, Elite Englands and prob many more that I'm not aware of.

Until people start running contests themselves they have no idea of the stress, financial and time investment put in by the promotors. Without them we have no contests, isn't it about time people start achknowledging this?

thats bound to upset someone?

Nuff said.

Since when did the event selection become by commitee? Bob's contest, Bob's events.
Plus a truck pull is a very difficult event to set up. Far too many variable with the event, and you need an event tester.

Suits are gay, but they are allowed in the Arnold amatuer.

If I had my way I'd compete naked and covered in olive oil, but enough of my sexual devancies!!

Great day, well done to Eric. Awesome performance. Tommy's squatting was superb. It was just a pity there was not more competitors. Will post full results tomorrow when sober!!

definately Joni!

We were advised to bring the original weights down a little as it may have been too high initially but, Strongwoman is growing and getting more people involved is essential to future developments. We have some very very good women involved in the sport and it's setup for some good competitions this year.

Becki is amazing and she has to get entered into the bigger comps this year, there is a great chance she can go to Finland later in the year as well.

Directions for this Saturday

Hi All

Numbers are dwindling a bit for next week, had a couple of people already have to drop out, so we are currently at 9/10ish

We have lowered the weights a little from the initial set that we put up

events are 40kg axle clean and press

Deadlift starting at 80kg

Farmers walk 70kg

Yoke - 160kg

Arm over Arm Pull - roughly 240-250kg - this is great fun! Me and Claire Haynes tried this, and was pretty tough but brilliant! Its basically a keg on a sled.

Stones 50/70/90kg over yoke - if its bad weather we may do this onto platforms

If anything it will be a good training weekend as well as some good fun!

I know some of you said you are maybes etc but will be good to know for definite. If you have training partners interested etc, even if they want to just give 1 event a go, let me know and just bring them along.

Cheers

Sharon and Paul
