» Skog WSM training (Go to post)01-09-2010 @ 17:02
Quite a change from last year's video where he's chasing chickens while doing farmer's walk through the mud and throwing kegs over a tree. I've been digging these competitor training videos, what with Terry's, Mark's, Dave's and now Skog's.

» comp experience as a whole.. (Go to post)22-08-2010 @ 22:20
I feel like I learn something new every comp, whether it's specifically to that comp or just to my training in general. Sometimes the little things lead to something huge.
» Do you think it's OK to clean off the belt? (Go to post)15-08-2010 @ 22:47
For the NAS (US amateur) comps, it's a big no-no, same with building up your belt. As for me, I couldn't care less if it was allowed or not.

That is a big stone. Would love to have one that big and heavy around.

Thanks. I've been lurking here the past few months. It's interesting to see what's going on with non-US athletes such as contests and training. You guys have a bunch of neat events/toys (axog for example).

Definitely consider cement and lead for heavier keg. We have one that's about 159kgs using lead and cement and it's not all the way full. Adding water will work well too, may not get nearly that heavy (about 127kgs) but it will add an instability factor with the water sloshing around.
