bout time put my log up. im new really to strongman, going to my first strongman training this weekend. ive got a long way to go but with enough training, eating and rest i can get there.

i currently weigh in at 107.5k which id like to lose some fat as im weak for my weight. tho not a major importance compared to increasing my strength.

so anyways off we go

monday-

didn feel to bad going into this, bit tired but nothing major just normal.
split yet another pair of trousers, yes i like ym easy access holes erm doing squats

squats 5x5- went up to 90k x4, didn feel comfortable on the heavy set. 4th one nearly caved in, no improvement from last week. somethin about today, just didn feel right.

push press 5x5- went up to 50k x3. tbh if id dug a bit deeper reckon could have nailed another one, was thinking of going back for a couple more but guy was after squat rack so thought sod it.

dips- 2,2,3, just tryin to do as many as can to gte the reps up, think 3rd set i had the form a bit better improcvement on last week.

rev. grip pull down- 4x6- up to 82.5k x7 nailed it PB. think ill struggle maybe on next weight up but may also start to try some rev grip chins soon if i continue to increase in this.

overall not a bad session. wasnt to happy with squats but keep them coming. may even go down a weight to 80 or 85k next week just to see if makes a diffrence.

tomoro, cardio and core work.

did some cardio today
3min x 5 of kick boxing with 1min breaks.
finnished off with a set of various planks. for some core exercises.

was as unfit as i thought haha

weights tomoro, dead lift day

The tips from us will be mostly basics. Nothing fancy, just hard work. Hayden has only done 2 sessions himself, so it's not like he's an expert (neither am I), but he's a fast learner and works hard. That's all it takes.

todays gym activites then.

wednesday-

deads 5x5- went up to 120k x 5, after last week just goes to show how much the day break after squats and not being as tired does. felt really good and happy with them, up weight again now.

d/bell bent over row 5x5- went up to 40k x5. struggles with grip a bit think that will be somat i need to work on, good improvemnt from last week.

wide grip pull down- 4x6- up to 75k reckon ill struggle on next weight up but will see.

overall good session. felt comfortable and reckon can hopefully put out a nice PB on deads next week.

thursday-

strict military 5x5- went up to 45k x 3, although would have liked more, i realised last week i got the same amount but push pressing it.just goes to show watchin the felix vid taught us some better technique and that raised significantly on monday, and im happy enough, just want to get all 5 reps now.

incline bench (smith weight not incl bar) 5x5- went up to 45k x4. dont likie doing bench, and its a very week muscle for me. used smith as dont have a training partner for that just in case. tho when i have done on noemal, i seem to bench more. but better next time.could feel it on my arms tho at end of this.

shrugs- 4x6- up to 45k x 5 grip went on the heavy ones. again showing need to improve this.

watched night before went push pressing, and made a diffrence, really threw the bar up haha

went to physio last night
basically my knee is still caving in, wonder if thats what gave way on squats.
i bend the knee and dont keep it straight apperntly, hence why its painfull and the patella tendon is gettin inflamed.
but think im making progress on it so all good

2/2 sat strongman day

well my first ever strongman training day, and like to thank johnnymills and hayden, for bearing with me and help us. was an awsome day.

clean and press (not yet able to do log, but it is really close) playing with the weights as did know what i would be able to do. also first time ever doing cleans.
worked up to 65k x1, went up nicely, just cudn get that 70k out. just cudn lock it, but it will be mine soon.

yoke- carnt remember my build reps. think yoke on own for 20m, then 160 i think for 20. and then went 200
and back went. dispointed because of back, but least try and milk a masage out of the mrs. found this exerice weird as the weight is moving, and need to stabilize it.

thick bar work, just shwed how bad my grip is. so will keep doing some grip training

stones- basically thought have a laugh and see if i cud do, got the 105 to move but that was about it haha

seated rack press- felt good bit of extra use of the tri's

awsome session, hope to get back up soon. and cheers johnny and hayden again

Nice to meet you today mate. The clean and press's looked very strong, allot more there when u nail the technique. Im pretty sure you will make s**t loads of progress over the next few weeks. Grin
