A strange deadlift session this morning...

70kg x lots
110kg x 3
150kg x 3
190kg x 2 - it still felt like an empty bar
220kg x 1 - so easy, still, that I thought 250kg would be quite comfortable
250kg x f
245kg x f
240kg x f - WTF
225kg x 1 - way harder than it should have been
190kg x 8 - easy, as it should have been

Overall, it was s**t!

One-handed Deadlifts

Right arm - a few singles with 120kg
Left arm - just one single with 120kg

Later:

My first bike ride since about 2010!

About 10km, altogether, at an extremely mediocre pace. I suppose that I couldn't have gone much slower.Roll-Eyes

The first two attempts at 115 were a close to successful lifts as failures get. The third and fourth attempts were fairly reasonable. Next time...

16kg kettlebells x 1km - no drops

It was very easy apart from the fact that my left hand nearly let me down towards the end.

I'd like to be able to complete the 1000m with at least 30kg in each hand.

I felt quite fresh after the previous 1000m with the 16kg kettlebells so I repeated the distance about 30 minutes later.

Reverse Band Deadlifts (based on how much weight it took to stretch the bar to the floor, 70kg was taken from the start position. However, the bands were completely loose at lockout.)

Warmups then...
260kg x 2 - very easy
300kg x f
300kg x f - I think that these two failures had more to do with being unfamiliar with the exercise than not being strong enough. In other words, I'll get this weight next time.
280kg x 1 - comfy
290kg x 1
290kg x 1 - a bit of a grinder but never in doubt

One of the most depressing sessions that I've had in a very long time. I couldn't lift anything today. The fact that my sleep levels have been good, nutrition has been reasonable (or better) and I've not done crazy work hours makes it even worse.
