i thought shorter people are stronger generally bcos of the shorter limbs lowering ROM, and even on events your centre of gravity is lower so better balanced etc (i dont think this makes a huge differance but plays a part). obviously the smaller your frame the harder it is to carry a lot of muscle mass but theres still plenty of short(ish) opens that get very big.

its all give and take. short arms = advantage for bench, OH, but disadvantage on deadlifts and stones
