from what I have bought for this week, 2 kgs of beef ribs (but once you remove to bone probably about a kg), 800 grams of lamb, and 400 grams of beef sirloin, that will do me until Saturday probably

dont know what effect red meat has on the digestive system but i have pretty much cut it out of my diet unless im having a sit down meal and have a steak which isnt often

I used to eat alot of red meat everyday and I just felt tired and sluggish all the time so I went onto chicken and abit of red meat and felt abit better then I cut red meat out altogether now I have started cutting out chicken and replacing it with white fish and I feel the best I have ever felt

like I said dont know why or if it works for any one else but it works for me

I'm not fat, I was just thinking about the harm it may be doing me. It sounds like everyone else eats a fair bit so I'm just gonna crack on with it.

milsy i heard it doesnt digest at all, it just rots gradually.

that is partly why i dont eat as much as i used to n switched to more chicken but still eat it once or twice a week. hard not to when its bbq season Tongue

also read that red meat contains something that our bodies convert into creatine but its not a significant amount unless u ate kg's of it a day

I also heard the world was flat, that we were made by a man in the sky, and that the government has our best interests at heart, is it all true as well?

f**king hell, no wonder society on the whole is f**king clueless about health and nutrition! Someone who supposedly takes an interest in training and nutrition 'heard' that red meat isn't digested, it just rots and believes it?

Gobsmacked.

I go through about a kg of mince a week, plus I may have a McDonald's occasionally too. I enjoy those 6 pack of tesco finest Cumberland sausages too, 3 for £5 and usually lasts 2 weeks. Those £5 packs of bacon from tesco usually lasts 2 weeks also. Wetherspoons steak night once a month too, tasty!

Eating lots of red meat isn't very good for you.

You could reduce it by using turkey mince instead of steak mince. if it's seasoned well it tastes just as nice. Or go 50/50 turkey/beef tastes good in a bolognese etc

Says who? Not the paleo enthusiasts! I also don't think there's a lot of evidence to confirm your statement for people eating a well rounded diet!

Let the argument commence........

agreed

Show me a study that that concludes eating a lot of red meat is bad for you that doesn't count a meat feast pizza as red meat and I'll cut back
