OK You dont have a brilliant lockout. You know that. Is it a showstopper? No. Will it make OL more difficult for you? Yes. You have a weakness and weaknesses can be strengthened. Plenty of pressing, standing, incline, bench, partial lockouts. Anything. All of them.
Also you're taking the bar out of the racks like its a heavy weight. When you take the bar out of the racks even with light weights do it like its a small weight. Get your chest up, shoulders out and drop your elbows a bit (for jerking only, you cleans are fine).
Have a look at the last vid from Adders(Friday) and see how strong Wiggers takes the bar out of the racks. Thats what you want to be doing.Wink

Right after not being able to get to the gym with a platform for a while due to transport i went today for a quickie.

Also yesterday i did some squats worked up to 100kg x1 front squat which was not too bad, also did GM'S.

It may not be the near miss you first thought Tom. There are two Adlingtons around the greater Manchester area. One is south side (not far from Stockport, I believe), but the REAL one is almost in Chorley about 20 miles west of Manchester off the M61.

So near yet so far. Dont worry though. We'll have you somedayWink

Ah i did not realise there was 2, i was looking at the right one though. I'll be heading home to Scotland straight after so i would be heading up the M61 before i join the M6.

What's your height/weight like these days? Cant find it anywhere, plus i had to use the bulls**tfilter feature which is to me the proof your training log aims at the right direction.

Hey man! lol, i've started how i mean to continue!

My height is just under 6' and im currently weighing in at around 87/88kg. Ive been around this weight for a while now, a few more nights on the bells should see this creeping up i imagine - which is exactly whats planned for tonight!

Also just to add i was given a program by the dude who owns the gym i go to, which is pretty cool - but i feel like a reformed man taking things as they come in the gym.

snatch focus + assistance

clean and jerk focus + assistance

singles in both OL lifts

I dont know much, i learn through experience, but not to worry about anything but lifting while somebody else does the thinking for you, is the best way to go for me.
I find the snatch requires more attention than the clean on the whole, it may be a personal thing though. The roughlines you've been given look good to me.

Decided to lift today despite yesterdays OH work. I cant get to the gym tomorrow so i though i should do it now!

Not the best session to say the least, probably should have done cleans but snatches were the flavor of the day, i could not resist!

Been very busy and managed to geta last minute ticket for t in the park so i spent most of friday to monday rocking out!

Also some exciting news - I got the job i had an interview for ion Stockport the other week. Its a year long placement as part of uni degree.

Nice session mate. Cleans looked good, only thing i'd say is maybe get your shoulders over the bar more in your starting position it will help get you in a better position for your top pull

Get yourself down to Adlington any time mate, you'll be more than welcome and get some world class coaching into the bargain
