Buzz/brian has kindly offered his hospitality near edinburgh, but doesnt have any matresses, beds or anything Totally agree mate, but as you said, depends on the price. A ten min trek to the venue rather than 3hrs in the morning would be ideal. Hamish, can you get us a price (there will be 3 of us) | ||

Prediction for Saturdays events  1. Log Press for reps 95KG Will hope for between 3-5 on this. Will be mortified if I don't get more than 2!!! Me and Joni will probably be fairly evenly matched on this 2. Loading event, wheel (80kg), tractor weight (90kg) and 2 barrels (80kg) God knows, loading is not my fortie, so as long as all are loaded in a decent time, I will be happy. Joni to take this event 3. Deadlift hold for time (car frame deadlift with 400kg tyre and a few stones (200kg in the hand) Probably my worst event. As long as a dont finish last, I will be happy. Joni to take this one also 4. Yoke (280kg for 10 meters)and Farmers (120kg for 10 meters) This should be my strongest event. Am (normally!!) quite quick with both yoke and farmers, so should do well. Beats Joni by a whisker  5. Stones onto barrels 100, 110, 120, 130 and 140kg. Joni is good at this event, I am not!! Joni owns me  I would be ecstatic to get the 130 up, but in reality, I will be happy if I get 2/3 of the 5So, looking back, my prediction that Joni is going down seems somewhat fanciful, but no harm in trying | ||

However, this hotel is also very close by: http://www.newbogniearms.co.uk/ They're very reasonable and may well do a deal if you explain your predicament! If they're not booked up they'd like to get another room filled I think. | ||
