awesome day, thank you Paul for such a great day. very long and felt battered and tired by the end of it but had to say this was one of the most enjoyable competition experiences i have had due to how friendly and supportive everyone involved in running it, competing in it and even the spectators.

ended up going down by myself due to training partners and family not being able to make it but it was a fantatstic day - definately doing it again and having qualified for the singles and full power british will be having a crack at that next year as well.

great day once again and can only say thank you

and mr cannings was great to meet you and compete against you - hopefully we can do the same again at either the british or another comp Happy

Well done Glen.Excellent performance with a bit left in the tank for another day.
It was certainly a full on weekend.Over 100 lifters across Saturday and Sunday.
The spirit and friendliness of everyone involved was terrific. This is usually the case in strength and powersports in my opinion.
Hope to get results up on www.bournemouthbarbell.co.uk and the BDFPA web site as soon as possible.
Lots of things to improve on with the running of the event:-ie Later weigh in for the heavyweights. We are going to run a referees course as soon as possible to give us the man/woman power to achieve this aim.
The big boys bench was absolutely terrific with several going 200kg raw.So much good stuff to report.Battles in nearly every weightclass being decided on the last deadlift.
Venue was so packed that lots of people were lined up looking through the windows from outside.Hope to hold our Southern Counties Divisional at Oakmead College in the new year.Lots more room.
Thankyou to everyone that came to the event. The lifters were very special.
More to follow.
Regards,
Paul

Another good meet Paul.

I didn't deal well with long wait (too little sleep, too little food :coolHappy but then everyone was in same boat! As normal cannot fault the whole the team on the day and great to have such excellent kit both on the platform and in the warm up area.

Looking forward to divisonals at Oakmead!

I look forward to it! Hopefully it will be another good battle there too! If your sugden numbers are correct then that was one hell of a comp PB you hit? Well done, just don't do it again.

Now the dust has settled all at www.bournemouthbarbell.co.uk realise how much we enjoyed the weekend. The weightlifting highlight of a 183kg clean and jerk and the awesome raw -strict bench pressing (220kg) are memorable but full marks to All lifters who put on a great show.
Regards to all,
