percy Member 384, 353 posts SQ 250, BP 162.5, DL 287.5700.0 kgs @ 88kgs Eq | Entries for the unequipped are now near 70.BUT we only had 13 paid up before the closing date so we had to cancell the University and book Kings Park or risk £900+ cancellation fee.A nightmare!! We will operate one competition platform at Kings Park.Set up 4 warm up platforms in warm up facility. The programme format is controlled by WDFPF rules.I will ask Wim what he intends to do and l will publish it with his permission. Our platform manager John Porter is famed for his efficient and speedy operation of the platform team and even with large flights will will get through this number by 6.30pm at the latest based on previous experience with his work. Hope that helps.Awaiting main equipped entries after this weekend.Classes look strong. Regards, Paul

percy Member 384, 353 posts SQ 250, BP 162.5, DL 287.5700.0 kgs @ 88kgs Eq | Yes Carl.Although l am disappointed about not using the University I am focussed on making the Championships successful. We will be using the same venue as the All England but with changes which enable the competing flight to locate behind/around the MC area .Thus enabling easier next lift submissions and clearing the warm up area for the next flight to warm up.We are able to add a 4th warm up platform. We have 3 more squat/bench combos on order for the warm up area. This offers standardisation for all between warm up and the platform equipment. The first time we will have had a complete set up to this standard. Regards, Paul

percy Member 384, 353 posts SQ 250, BP 162.5, DL 287.5700.0 kgs @ 88kgs Eq | Following input from many members who emailed me or expressed concerns about our change of venue for the Europeans via forums or message boards l am pleased to say l have managed to re book the University this morning. Although two provisional bookings by other sports clubs had been made in the last week they have prioritised our definate re-booking of the facility. THE EUROPEAN POWERLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE AT BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY AS PLANNED. Regards, Paul

percy Member 384, 353 posts SQ 250, BP 162.5, DL 287.5700.0 kgs @ 88kgs Eq | Well done with your own lifting(670 @82.5 e m2).Pushed Rick pretty hard it would appear(but fair play to him a near 300kg squat at 82.5kg b/w is excellent particularly when he has been recovering from injury).Still, get him next time.! Mark Norton going over 800kg total is also impressive because his build up has not been easy.Neil Deighton 90kg still producing the goods and will go near 800kg total soon . Jess Jones (58.5 b/w m2)345 u total and Bernie Mcinley 80 + class (505 e total) are real quality as well.Good to see Strong Man specialist Matt Starling fit again .Darren Bell right back in amongst it is also great to see. Get your brother back in action Adrian!! Regards, Paul
