I dont honestly see how, on the log, you can have a rep disallowed
Rules are clear before the event and one should never deviate from lockout of the log unitl a clear DOWN signal is given by the ref

Balance at the lockout has been an issue for me in the past at where I’ve had reps disallowed because although the logs have been up there so to speak, they haven’t been 100% steady. Your right though, once rules are stated, there is no reason to deviate.

Thanks for the feedback mate - it's greatly appreciated. It's all a learning curve but I seem to be getting better as time goes on. Considering you were the MC at my first ever strongman comp - Severn Valley 2009 - I was s**te on the day but have come a fair way since then. Onwards and upwards as they say!!!

Its a trainin lift and looks very strong im impressed with the ease of movement with the log!

On the day- its shanes comp and he overrools me but im the ref and every rep has to touch the tyre/block and pause for 1 second you then have to clean and press the log lockingout fully with head through feet inline and hold for the down signal, like in any other comp refs decision is final !

No problem at all mate. I fully understand. I'll be using the log differently next Sunday mate so I may post a new vid of much stricter reps. Emil kindly filmed for me yesterday so I may have to coerce someone else into making their directorial debut.

Thanks for the feedback. It's all appreciated

First training log... goodluck buddy.

I can't see the vids but I can gather what the others are saying.

If in doubt mate just give me a shout down the gym.

Thanks mate. The vids kept disappearing for me too but they return when I refresh the page. I may not start a full-on training log as I'd need to update with some level of frequency. This is just the first time I have had a few events filmed on a Sunday!

It's only because I'm viewing in work mate, although I will check them out tonight and if there is anything I can help you with I will. But I'm sure you will be fine.

Myself and Jon will have to pop over for a session if you don't mind.

No problem at all mate. After the Welsh 105s & Novice is done and dusted I'll have all my kit back and we'll sort out a Sunday. If I can organise a van here and there, I might start taking all the movement events up to Llanishen Industrial Estate so there's a bit more open space and less noise pollution!!! Suburban strongman training is f***king loud even when it's quiet!!!

Yeah, they come from a very reliable fabricator in South Wales. All his stuff is of a very high standard. I forget who it is now!!! Grin
