Perhaps not as strict as a crossfit comp would require but a 64 second attempt which I understand is close to the world record. Except Dan Bailey did them properly!!!

For grace? It's 62 seconds by dan bailey.

My technique may not be acceptable but when I'm feeling fitter and with some practice that seems more than realistic to improve upon!

Out of curiosity, as I'd never tried this before, what is possible time wise using this technique?

Thanks for all the great comments guys. With that technique and feeling fitter I'll get under 60 seconds quick enough.

Not feeling very fit at the moment so reckon a fair few seconds could be shaved off!!!

A sign of improved fitness must be when a breathing pattern after this is the same as doing bicep curls!!!

Well done to all who competed this year and especially to Si for retaining his title, Owen for putting in such a great performance at a lower bodyweight to take second and to Nathan for getting a podium finish in his first national comp. Well done lads and hope to compete with a few of you in 3 weeks!!!

Cheers Phil. If I keep losing weight at this rate, I'll be perilously close to competing at 105 before too long!!!!

I'm sure you'll go from strength to strength .

Thank you for your kind words Mark. I'd planned on taking a complete your off events and comps but am really enjoying training at the moment and feel so much better being lighter and more athletic.

Cheers mate.

I'm enjoying training at the moment but won't be heading up to North Wales this year. I haven't done enough around the comp weights and with further weight loss, I don't feel like I would do myself justice. I was competitive at the Welsh last year and had I have focussed on training events week in week out like last year, I think I would have been competitive again this year. I'm going to compete at the comp in Bridgend as it's a bit lighter, close to home and I'm not putting a great deal of pressure on myself which I would be at the Welsh after a successful comp last year.

You look a lot leaner/more muscular than the last time I seem to remember you posting vids?

Thanks mate.

I'm 18 1/2 stone now and was 23 1/2 at one stage!!!

My fitness has improved dramatically and I feel so much better all round. That was my fifth event session since before the Welsh and UK's last year so all things considered, I feel in reasonable nick.

First run through an overhead medley for a while.

100kg Block (slipping down my chest so tshirt with water and chalk next time)
105kg Keg
110kg Axle
123kg Log
70kg Dumbbell

Second event session ever with Conan's wheel.

200kg in plates for distance as last week went up to see what 300kg felt like. The answer was horrible!!!

First movement medley in a long time too.

300kg Yoke into 120kg Farmers Walk.
