Member 1925, 49 posts | SCOTLANDS STRONGEST MAN 2011 QUALIFIER EVENTS 1) 120Kg Log Press for Reps, 75sec time limit. 2) Fingals Fingers, weight to be between 2nd & 3rd Finger used in Worlds Strongest Man. 3) 120kg Farmers Walk for 60 metres, 75sec time limit. (old Worlds Strongest Man bottles being used) 4) Skip/Wheelbarrow Load & Push, load 4 objects into skip, lift & push, 30 metre course. 5) Car Deadlift, Straight bar, 280Kg max reps, 75sec time limit. No Straps allowed. 6) Stones over Yoke, 120kg, 140Kg & 160Kg, as many times as possible on a points system over a set height on yoke. Qualifier held in Dumfries on 19th March, all events subject to change. Jamie Barr’s rules apply to this comp. Entries made to Stuart Murray on 07809644691 by 5th March due to numbers of T-Shirts needed etc. | ||

I think Neil could be persuaded if the Deadlift is not an eliminator. Only crossed the 280 deadlift the other night, thought I better since you usually need a rep at it  Should be ok with the car (I hope) Is it standard height? | ||

Say maybe start off with 100k move about 5m, put them down and have someone load 20k to each handle, whilst they are doing that maybe try lifting something to chest level to simulate loading it into the barrow. Then walk with farmers, load them heavier etc. | ||
