Anyone used this before? I bought some because it was cheap and had decent reviews but the packet says to use 5g with water before training.

5g bearly covers the bottom of my shaker - is this right?

How bigs your shaker? Happy

A heaped tablespoon will do the job. It's not essential to take creatine (it is not a pre-post type supp) around training but it's no bad thing.

Just an average 700ml USN shaker. Just seemed less than the bulkpowders creatine i used before but having said that it never had any guidelines so i was prob using too much.

heaped teaspoon you mean. thats about 5grams. And yes, that's the correct amount. People used to load with 4 or 5 servings of 5g per day for a week, but it's not necessary.

Actually yes teaspoon!

Nothng wrong with loading per se. You just get there quicker.

the best way to take it is put the powder in your mouth and then wash down with fruit juice or sports drink this is the most economic and effective way of taking it as it gets in the muscles faster with the sugar

Why not just put the powder in the fruit juice?

The actual doses of sugar used in the relevant studies was near to unpallatable. Much better is an approx 50/50 protein/carb ratio as this gives same effect but without 90 odd grams of sugar Happy

Personally there's no need to complicate things with creatine. It's highly biovalable in the first place and the body takes it up like a sponge! Off course it changes as your muscle creatine content increase and you have to transport into the cell against a larger concentration gradient.

Bottom line is take you dose whenever and after a couple of weeks max you'll have greater muscle creatine stores.

on average you loose about 20% that doesnt dissolve i was a bit reluctant to try is this way after i was told about it but i have noticed better results than doing it the other way. not much but imo anything is better than nothing

You'll loose it if you leave sludge at the bottom etc.

I am happy sto spoon creatine into my mouth as it dosn't taste of much. An easy enough way of doing it

Just put a level teaspoon in your pre and post workout drinks IMO.

Myprotein's Creapure is pretty good for mixing unlike normal monohydrate so you shouldn't really lose any.

Ive just been using Bulkpowders Monohydrate and when i had drank it there were still bits in the bottom of my shaker. When i mixed and drank the Creapure before i trained tonight there was nothing left in the shaker.

I used this for a few weeks. I put on a lot of weight fast. Had to drink about 2 pints of water afterwards or my lips would dry out.
