 The Giant of the Winter Giants Member 155, 132 posts | Being Felix's first official meet, he wasnt sure what to expect. Luckily Alan gave him a list this morning of what he was to lift & he did: squat as mentioned previously, Bench as mentioned & deads 360-380-400, a great day with really good atmosphere, and he is looking forward to oushing it a bit in his next one. | ||

Good to see the usual faces about(to many to mention) and also quite a few new younger lifters which is always promising. Moment of the day for me was after Felix had just pissed his second deadlift,Alan the legendary coach walked up to him and said "Right...you gonna have to really whack this bas***d now"....pure gold that Alan Fairclough im sure most would agree !  | ||

Bodes well for the big man!!I don't believe I have ever seen Mark fail a 400 or more. Some are better than others, but this the best I have ever seen him do it. Very comfy. Competition seems to suit him. Considering he is a novice his lifting today was quite sublime. I don't suppose he realizes just how many PLers there are who have never had nine good lifts, and yet he has done it on his first outing. He wasn't close to failing any of them. A privilege to watch him. | ||
