Oct 09 - 5 Week Training Plan:

Day 1: DL:
5 x 120 (x5) - 5 x 130 (x5) - 5 x 130 (x5) - 3 x 140 (x3) - 3 x 150 (x3)
Front Squat:
5 x 60 (x5) - 5 x 65 (x5) - 5 x 65 (x5) - 3 x 70 (x3) - 3 x 75 (x3)

Day 2: Bench:
5 x 70 (x5) - 5 x 70 (x5) - 5 x 75 (x5) - 3 x 80 (x3) - 3 x 80 (x3)
BB Row:
5 x 50 (x5) - 5 x 55 (x5) - 5 x 60 (x5) - 3 x 65 (x3) - 3 x 70 (x3)

Day 3: Squat:
5 x 85 (x5) - 5 x 85 (x5) - 5 x 90 (x5) - 3 x 95 (x3) - 3 x 100 (x3)
OH Press:
5 x 50 (x5) - 5 x 55 (x5) - 5 x 60 (x5) - 3 x 65 (x3) - 3 x 70 (x3)

Ok it comes out weird, basically theres 5 sets of number for each exercise, one for each week Happy

Rowing training starts tomorrow, circuits, easy peasy, so I'm guna keep going with the plan Happy

2 min row to start

DLs:
Bar x some
60kg x some
100kg x 5
120kg x 5 (x5) - very easy, tried a wider more sumo-esc stance, felt good Happy

Front Squats:
Bar x some
40kg x 5
60kg x 5 (x5) - felt pretty good too Happy

Hyper extensions (w/10kg) SS w/ machine crunches - 3 x 10

Back Squat (w/60kg) SS w/ Calf Raises (w/60kg) - 3 x 10

All in all pretty good, 8 minute row at the end too.

Wasn't sure about my shoulder today, but it was fine! Paul D was sick during the session this time as opposed to before, so it's progress!!

Bench:
Bar x some
40kg x 6
60kg x 5
70kg x 5 (x5) - pretty tough

BB row:
Bar x some
40kg x 10
50kg x 5 (x3) - too easy
55kg x 5 (x3) - again quite easy - trying to find the happy medium between difficulty and keeping form, tis hard!

DB Bench SS w/ DB row:
20kg x 10
22.5kg x 10 (x2)

Pull Ups SS w/ Dips:
2 x 10

All in all not bad Happy

I was rather tired today, but a good session in the end!

OH Press:
Bar x some

50kg x 5 (x4)
50kg x 5 - military press (x2)

Squats:
Bar x some
40kg x 5
60kg x 5
80kg x 5
85kg x 5 (x5) - a struggle, but got them all, dead chuffed!!!

DB Press SS w/ Chin ups:
2 x 10

DL: - doing front squats first definitely takes some out of me...surprise surprise

130kg x 5 (x5) - this was a whole world of mess, first set I did double overhand, was confused when my grip struggled!! Then messed around with different stances, but close stance is best for me I think Happy

BW x 5 (x10) - this was a grinder, glad I got it Happy

General Overview of my training over the last couple of weeks:

Trying to find a regime to fit in with my rowing, have decided on the 5-3-1 programme, spreading it over 2 weeks (aka Squat and bench 1st week, DL and Military the next). I'm going to be starting that in a couple of weeks, but I'm waiting for Paul_D to start with me after his comp (hopefully he can do it, I'm rather excited to go see a powerlifting comp.)

But main points of training recently:

Got 100kg for 5 Squats - PB
Done some should stuff, incline bench and MP, shoulder didn't feel gay.
Not many DLs atm, I'm just loving squats too much!! Will endeavour to do them on monday

So yeah, all is good Happy

The 77.5kg x 28 "supposedly" equates to 150kg 1RM - if only!!!

Haven't done deadlifts in a while, so I was particularly pleased with the session!!
