I did a run of 20 reppers about 3 years ago. I got up to 135 x 20. I attempted 136 x 20 the following week, but failed the 19th rep (if I recall correctly). My legs are stronger now, but they are accustomed to heavy singles/doubles at the moment. I'm sure I could do 140 x 20 though. Maybe I'll give it a go very soon.

did you find them beneficial in anyway??

I am very impressed with that video, and all reps to depth too. 20 reppers is something Id like to try in the future.

I'd take my hat off to him. That was seriously good squatting. That takes a bit more than strong legs!

I've been doing fairly high reps on squats recently, and find the oxygen deficit the worst thing - with the faintness and difficulty in breathing in order to lock core more of a problem than actual fatigue in the squatting muscles. As I'm only tiny, and with (at least for me) fairly decent conditioning at the moment, I'm even more impressed when big chaps perform like this.

And when he squatted against Fred Hatfield he beat him on reps doing something like 23 reps with around 500lbs to Hatfield's 12 reps, but Fred Hatfield won when they competed on a max single.

I know who I would rate as the stronger
