Nobbed she-ra whilst he-man watched Member 687, 260 posts SQ 170, BP 127.5, DL 215512.5 kgs @ 87.7kgs UnEq | Post Edited: 14.09.2009 @ 19:18 PM by Mike_Hawkins Hello to you all, I'm starting a new thread because I want to get more serious this year (I'm at Uni so for me this is a new year My PBs atm: DL - 170 Squat - 100 Bench - 90 Front Squat 75 x 2 Push Press - 70kg Strict Press - 60kg x 2 Clean - 75kg My aims by the end of the year (beginning of 2010) DL - 180 Squat - 120 Bench - 100 Front Squat - 85 Push Press - 80kg Strict Press - 65kg Clean - 80kg I would also like to do some actual event training and this fun day thing Mark Clegg is doing So thats my plan, my shoulders being a little gay atm so this week I'm just getting some squatting going, this is my weakest point (with my chicken legs) so hopefully lots of improvement soon Mike | ||

Squats: Bar x 10 40kg x 5 60kg x 5 80kg x 3 100kg x 1 - big struggle 110kg x F - DARN!! 100kg x 1 60kg x 5 (x5) Front Squats (just as a perk me up): 60kg x 5 80kg x 1 - good to get it, I knew I could Felt like I pulled my hamstring so thought I should stop Calf Raises 40kg x 12 (x3) Some core stuff to finish New gym, I like it DLs tomorrow, I hope that works out better for me Mike | ||

Squats: Bar x lots - getting technique sorted 60kg x some - again technique 80kg x 3 - felt a lot easier than monday 100kg x 2 - first one felt DEAD easy, have a feeling it was not deep enough!! 110kg x 1 - PB - oh my word, biggest pause halfway up, did not think I was going to get it!! cheers paul! 60kg x 5 (x5) - felt easy, v. pleased 40kg x 15 (x3) - cause I love my reps!! Ab stuff Well I'm chuffed, shoulders still a bit gay but its nice that I can still do some exercise!!! Pauls help was much appreciated, aiming to get my aims (120 squat, 180 dead, 100 bench) by his November comp Mike | ||

Squats: Bar x 10 Bar x some more 40kg x 10 60kg x 5 70kg x 5 (x 5) - so chuffed with how easy these felt 50kg x 15 SS w/ calf raises Leg Press (first time I;ve done this): 40kg x 10 80kg x 8 (x2) 120kg x 8 (x2) Core stuff (crunches, oblique stuff and hyperextensions) All in all pretty good, and fun! Suprised how fresh my legs feel!!! Tis good to train with Paul_D again, I've missed him Mike | ||

Would be nice though Todays training: DLs (1st time in about 3 months!): Bar x some 60kg x 10 100kg x 5 140kg x 3 140kg x 3 160kg x 1 160kg x 1 140kg x 2 140kg x 2 100kg x 10 (slow, reset every rep) Was pretty pleased, all DLs at this place have to be done on these mats bout 1 inch off the floor, so I figured if I could do 160 twice, I still have it in me Front Squats: Bar x 10 40kg x 10 60kg x 5 (x5) 40kg x 12 (x2) YAY!! I do love front squats, 60kg actually felt too easy, getting a little too close to my back squats!! Mike | ||

Monday: DLs: Bar x some 60kg x 10 100kg x 5 120kg x 5 (x5) 60kg x 15 SS w/Crunches Front Squats: Bar x some 40kg x 10 60kg x 5 (x5) 40kg x 15 SS w/Calf Raises Wednesday (today): Bench: Bar x some 40kg x 10 60kg x 5 70kg x 5 (x2) 60kg x 1 - arched 80kg x 1 - arched 90kg x 1 - arched - very tough!! 70kg x 5 BB Row: Bar x some 40kg x 10 60kg x 5 (x5) - cheated towards the end, might go down a weight to keep form! DB Bench SS w/cable row 17.5 x 15 - don't know the weight x 15 Not the best session, shoulder feels okish though Mike | ||
