I have trained for this for 6 months, re arranged work,call out,booked hotels,dogs booked into kennels,arranged for someone to have the kids. On the back of this my parents and in laws have altered their plans to fit in with the above. All now for no reason as the date has changed to a date I cannot attend. Am I expected just to sit here and take it in the ass? | ||

I have promoted 2 comps and both have had problems with people pulling out venues messing me around etc etc. I know a change in date will piss some people off but it's not like it has been done on purpose to piss people off!!! | ||

Sorry Simon, Wasn't implying you were either mate, I know you love me ;-) It's this bit "This comp was not posponed due to Athletes not being able to make weight!!!!!! and I don't know where the f**k that has come from!!!" It has come from me, cause thats waht I posted. I am paraphrasing here a little as obvioulsy dont recall word for word, but he said to me "yeah, there are a number of reasons, people being ill, lads being "heavy" - then went on to mention John & Paul having just done an open comp! And he wanted the best guys there and therefore the best quality of comp!! Would no one else interpret it as those twos issues have been facotored in when making the decision, cause I do. If I'm wrong I would apologiose for that, but dont see how I possibly can be from what he said to me!! | ||

 Trump will get another four years Member 126, 16707 posts SQ 160, BP 110, DL 225495.0 kgs @ 75kgs UnEq | people have invested many hours of training, arranged time off work, booked and paid for accomodation and travel for themselves and their friends and family only to be told 2 weeks before the comp the date has changed. no matter what the reason for that those who cant make it because of this are going to be pissed off, and rightly so in my opinion. Ben ran the northern qualifier, then traveled down to the midlands qualifier and qualified but cant now compete because of this!!! Im sure scott just wants to put on the best comp he can but I think this has been handled badly. just ringing up a couple of the competitors to announce the postponement was always going to end up in this sort of s**tstorm. I really hope this can be reconciled without too much bad feeling as that is exactly what the 105s could do without after all the good work thats been done this year. | ||

Will, I disagree. Venue cancels on Scott, what can he do? Try to find an alternate venue in 2 weeks, is this possible.
