I like that, and you'd be more than welcome, with a month's warning to allow me to tidy up. Grin

Still abysmal in the grand scheme of things, but although I was more tired than I was on Saturday, I was undeniably stronger. Or less weak. The journey has started.

Ran out of time, and energy

90 was a lopsided, body twisting, foot of the floor, awful thing, but I just got it up under my own steam. I've done 90 x 18 not so long ago!!!

Saturday Bench

Decided to inject some volume

Bar for 10 x 3 sets
40 for 6
50 for 5
60 for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Finish

Arms so wrecked I can hardly type! I know 60 is tiny, but think of it as two-thirds of my current 1RM. Not quite death by bench as I had longer than one minute rests. Nearly all the down sets were tough because of the pre-exhaustion.

Literally can't remember the last time I did deadlifts, mainly because of knee pain. But my glutes are in danger of turning into old man's arse (ie, non existent) so needs must. Maybe if I keep it light... So...

Deadlift
Bar for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Finish

Nearly stopped after the first rep with knee pain, but kept going and as it warmed up it got a bit less painful. Hope to go up to a peak of 7 next time, but gentle to start back.

Far better than last session. The 90 was a smooth press this time, and I had the energy for the down sets that I didn't have last time. Still weak, but dare I say it, progress...?
