I always had a super solid back then one day about 3 years ago, I did a session in the shed and (for no reason) I decided to do my top set beltless, Im pretty sure that was the point one of my discs decided to QUIT !!

I think it can be nursed back but i feel for anyone who has an even worse back injury , you cant go ANYTHING without it feeling like its gonna go !!

I had a back that didnt crack...until I had a spazum aged 40 brushed it off in 7 days...then 44 same as before then 3 times last year and could no longer dress myself without pain at 47 ffs and now...no chance of deadlifting serious weights

stretch sir and be good to yourself.

back pain is often a warning..and heed the warning one must.

I think it’s a given if you train to compete in this sport you are destined for breakages.

I think my back is probably done as far as Dead’s go. May consider trying Sumo at some point perhaps.

I think I can continue to squat heavy but taking real care to progress the weights properly. 160kg is easy for me, it really is, but any heavier at the moment my back would go.

It was. 9 days of decorating and junk food. Poor effort all round.

Bought a road bike today though so weights and cycling coming up this summer.
