Lockdown DIY

Dug up and levelled a lot of my front garden, extending the path around the house and making a storage area around one side, also redoing the path from house to pavement to make it slope away as it was all undulated, oh and edged all of the grass. As someone who has barely done any DIY this is an immersive learning experience

Since Thursday I’ve been redecorating my flats. So far me and my daughter have fully painted a one bedroom flat and a hall, stairs and landing.
Tomorrow we will be painting a two bedroom flat and another hall, stairs and landing.
I hope I’m off work long enough to allow me to paint another two flats plus the front walls and steps of two units. Also to sort the back yard of one of them.
Hard work but keeping me busy and interested.
It’s really handy having all this time off.

being currently unemployed...instead of tipping the garden chairs and table and buying new ones, spent approx 4 hours re-fixing broken parts with wood from mt shed... and the wife spent yesterday making covers for the bench and 2x chairs.
on the up, i have a site induction on Friday
and...got my tax grant through...
Just knocked down a wall today, almost finished extending the path, turns out there is much more to do after that, do these jobs ever end?
- painted every room in the house bar one and the stairs and landing.
- greenhouse installed.
- veg garden has potatoes, carrots, two grapevines with tomatoes and orange tree on the way. [apocalypse ready]
- back fence put up but payed someone to do it in the end - half treated but run out of stain.
- ivy cleared.
- front garden 75% 'done'.
