 Trump will get another four years Member 126, 16708 posts SQ 160, BP 110, DL 225495.0 kgs @ 75kgs UnEq | so far we have: - painted the kitchen, hall and our bedroom. - made a new raised bed. - planted this years potato crop. - cleared ivy off the outside fence. to do: - paint kids rooms. - replace back fence. - install a greenhouse. - put up shelves [trying to avoid that one]  house has never looked better in the 15 years we have been here. anyone else having a DIY blitz during lockdown? what have you done? | ||

Dug up lawn and took up patio in back garden before lockdown. Managed to get railway sleepers and paving/sand/cement delivery the other week. Raised new lawn area with sleepers. Put down 4 tonnes of hardcore. Laid 2/3s of patio so far. This was all planned anyway but I thought it was gonna have to wait till after lockdown at one point. I'm still working anyway so no more is getting done due to lockdown. | ||

I already had mine ordered from before lockdown. I think the company honoured previous orders. They did stop delivering for a week or so at first. But some garden/diy places are trading. | ||

I tried screwfix but most stuff that said click and collect where out of stock and not many items where available for delivery. Waiting for some epoxy resin from Amazon so that i can fasten my squat rack down but it must be 2 weeks since i ordered! | ||

Interesting Member 6186, 245 posts | Painting my fence, and general gardening work. B&Q have a click and collect service, you order on line, you need to be flexible on your store. Wait for a phone call about 24 hours and they say you need to drive to the selected store within a time frame 10am until 3pm as a guide. With your confirmation email When I got there I was met with a man in a face mask who told me to go to a selected parking bay, then a lady in PPE walked up to my car and asked me for my order number from their email, I waited for my two tubs of fence paint which was left outside my vehicle in a B&Q trolley, you wait for the B&Q lady to step away and you collect your goods and drive away. Not easy and it all takes time but better than nothing if you need to do some DIY. I understand Wickes are doing the same service. | ||

My asshole is not watertight. Member 2926, 6051 posts SQ 217.5, BP 107.5, DL 225550.0 kgs @ 86kgs UnEq | Painted our garden fence with 2 coats of Cuprinol "Silver Copse", that is now rarer than rocking horse s**t it seems!!! It's a pretty long fence so took about 30hrs in total (I'm still working as well). I felt like Daniel-san with all the "paint the fence" that was going on. Thank God there's no waxing on or off needed! Painted one of the kids bedrooms and have the paint for our bedroom, which I'll start this weekend, or as soon as the missus decides whether she wants paint or wallpaper  I'm also going to order some sleepers to make some raised beds. There's a few DIY stores near us which are still open and I've found a local timber yard that is delivering wood. | ||

Filled in the pond hole with weeds/branches/rocks and assorted crap from tidying the back garden. Built a climbing frame/slide to keep the bairn occupied whilst he is off. | ||
