Ive had bouts using creatine on and off over the last 15 years. Not used it for the most part but bought some myprotein creatine monohydrayte in a recent sale

Whats the current thinking on dosages and when to take it as ive read so many things over the years?

Also Should I cycle it over a period of time and take a break?

Thanks,

3g every other day will cover you.
You don't need to take it with anything or at any particular time.

Also no need to cycle off (unless you need to drop a lb or two quickly with no effort.

This is very timely. I’ve taken it on and off for years. Had some recently, possibly took a bit too much and it irritated my scalp and caused hair loss (Google tells me this is likely). Also found some references through Google suggesting that it could lead to cancer. Not impressed by either.

I can definitely believe that it could give you cancer, seeing as most things (apparently) seem to.

Everything gives you cancer.

But creatine is no mouldy peanuts.

My mate worked for cancer research during his PhD and said mouldy peanuts were just about the worst food stuff one could imbibe, from a carcinogenic perspective.

As the culture is now... 'Ep1c gainz bro'

On a side note, a gravy creatine uptake system would be an interesting marketing strategy. That, along with gravy flavored protein powder.

I did a similar thing last night, only this time i just bunged a scoop of creating on my meal like it was a seasoning. It literally makes no difference to the food whatsoever, it is entirely flavorless.
