You only have to log on to facebook to find legions of uneducated Eddie/Thor fans, arguably the two highest profiles in the non lifter world, that carry on like bickering football supporters. There's so much BS flying around right now surrounding WSM it's unreal, rumours likely created by trolls about brakes been applied on the plane pull and treating Ed's win as some sort of conspiracy. Some will argue that the 'debate' (and I use that term very loosely) is good for the profile of the sport, I personally think it's damaging and it saddens me to an extent. There's always been an element of controversy at WSM, as said, to be expected when hormones are ten fold and the stakes are high, think Kaz a la Sausage hold. Whilst I understand how Thor must have felt given the sacrifice these guys make he has done the sport no favours whatsoever in posting what has since been removed. Way to fuel the fire for the armchair critics and the s**t talking pub experts. | ||
