Just watch the video. Thor's 15th had the exact same form as the previous 14. He gives an extra tiny dip on every single one. Should have been 15 or 0.

I can understand how Thor is feeling.

We know from our own endeavours how brutal and rigorous they train on a daily driven basis.

The day arrives, anticipated and dreamt of. Lived for!
Then the clear 15th rep was revoked. The rep which would have given you 51 points to tie you for first place...

It's still fresh so he is hurt and grieving. He will return reinvigorated for 2018 title I hope Happy

Double dip means a push press with a second dip under one the press is almost complete to "catch" the weight before it's at full height. Kind of like a jerk in Olympic lifting. What Thor was doing was basically why the "clean and press" was removed from the Olympics many years ago, lots of lean back - but basically everyone does it.

Thanks!

But wasnt that the case of Shaw also, and probably a lot of other competitors.

Eddie would have known how many reps Thor had, so would have just done 16 rather than 15? Or do we think that 15 was all Eddie had in the tank?

His fifteenth rep did look like he locked it out but was still bent at the knee - curving back into it like the old olympic press. Doesnt look like a traditional double dip but does looklile a rep not fully locked out as his legs arent locked out

EDIT: Haha holy s**t, it's going down on Thor's facebook!

"This weekend I was robbed. The integrity of my beloved sport is in question."

He did 15 reps on viking press but only got 14. And from the video you can't tell what rep he failed on.

But I'm glad Ed won. Just hope he stops before he kills himself.

He got attention yeah, just like Edd. There's nothing wrong with it, just prefer more humble guys, forget the trash talk. The results do the talking. That's why I like Z.

Didn't like Ali, I mean, he got sportsman of the century abd represented the spirit of sportsmanship at the 2012 olympics. But how bragging and taunting your opponents, like shooting toy guns at Joe Frazier outside his home or calling him a 'gorilla' be considered the behaviour of a good sportsman?

Anyway. Eddie won, he deserves it. Thor and Brian made mistakes, notably on the squat for thor losing balance and costing him a rep/ 3 points and shaw obviously underperforming on the truck pull despite claiming he 'never makes mistakes'. When will athletes learn to shut up and just give their best performance lol. Well done Edd.
