We got started around 10.20 so by the time we left it was around 1.30pm and i was f**ked.

Saw a few guys on the deadlifts - which one were you?

I did log press, axle press, farmers, yoke, log bench press and finished on atlas stones. Im pretty happy with what i have achieved today and now know what i need to train more on my gym sessions.

Yeah mate i saw you - had a great session considering ive never touched some of the equipment before.

I feel more confident than i did before i went today - given that ive got 4 months to train events i should be able to get to a lift out of most of the events.
Only thing i think i will struggle with is the stones but i am hoping that with a bit more practice i will get at least the first 2 up.

I got the 90kg stone onto the first 2 platforms but took all the skin of the underside of my forearms and shed blood so didnt want to go crazy and end up f**king my arms up as ive got deadlifts on tuesday.

Think that comes down to lack of experience.

if it doesnt bleed its not strength training. after i loaded our 110 stone on our 5ft 8inch platform we took a foto of the blood on my arms and the stone, you can get some kind of sleeve to protect your forearms have a look online, we have some but i dont really like em, i like to feel the concrete stone on my skin grrrr
