Final events session ahead of elites, just making sure everything felt solid.
Prep hasnt been as good as i would've liked, but i feel in decent shape and think i should still be good to get one of the qualifying spots.

1 hand axle side deadlifts

60 * 1, 1, 1 - 3s hold.


Final grip session, the 145 was a PB attempt, think id probably have had it if i hadnt done the 125s first, but what can you do?

1 final session tomorrow night then 3 days of stretching before comp.

Elite Englands final

Things didnt go as well as i wouldve liked, but i did get an invite to Elite Britains so considering my poor prep im happy enough with the result, especially considering how good the line up was.

Straight back into the gym today, got to make sure prep goes better this time, so going to get a few sessions in this week before i go on holiday.
Pressing was hard work, pretty sore after yesterday, but it needs to be done.

First time doing vaguely heavy back squats for what feels like forever. These moved easily enough, but didnt feel as comfortable as squats used to. Im sure another few sessions will have me back in my squatting groove, and able to start pushing for some big numbers, its been far too long since i hit a PB squat.

A little deadlift session tomorrow morning, then i fly off to the south of France for a couple of milestone birthdays in the family (my own 30th among them)

Just a quick 45 mins this morning. Deads felt pretty sluggish at first, but last couple of working sets moved well.

Keg loading

up to 4 kegs - very fast.

Just a quick one today, trained events that my training partner has coming up in comp. Keg loading was great, by far the best runs ive ever done.
First time ive got round to trying keg toss, it was ok, but not special.
Back in the gym tomorrow for a proper session, managed to keep my weight up on holiday so hoping strength will still be there.
