Forever bulk mode eliminates the need to monitor...

In seriousness though, a pal of mine monitors his food intake and is strong, very light and extremely well conditioned.

I have recently started using my fitness pal as a rough guide to what I'm eating, I tend to concentrate on getting the split of 60/20/20 at around 3500 calories and feel the benefits. Energy levels are better, recovery is better and food selection is better.

Good read.

Can you give us a sample of your 12 basic meals? I need some inspiration!

Haha they aren't very interesting!

Take a 250 gram portion of:
Roast chicken
Turkey mince
Beef mince
Tuna steak
Cod fillets

Cook it with chopped tomatoes, onions etc, and cheese, chorizo etc with the lower fat meats to get the fat up

Add 70gr rice, 250gr white spud, 200gr sweet spud or 200gr gnocchi

Then kale, broccoli, peas, etc.

Methods vary, but most commonly eat

Beef mince with chopped tomatoes, red kidney beans and rice (chilli without the chilli)
Butter baked cod with rice and kale
Rump steak, mash, spinach
Tuna steak, red onions, rice and veg
Turkey mince with fresh tomatoes, spring onion, chorizo and sweet potato
Roast chicken with bacon, new potatoes and peas

Really not very interesting I'm afraid! Grin

I've logged in every day this week, for this first time ever, and it's Thursday.

I tried MFP once.

After the first day it blocked me then sent this message;

"Error, you're a lazy little skinny fat f**k".

Thought that was a bit mean. Haven't used it since.
