Ok so whilst my body seems to be falling apart a week pre comp I've been getting pain from the outside of my forearm from elbow to wrist, mostly in the middle part of my arm. It feels like nerve pain as oppose to muscular and built up over the last couple of days after I think from doing yoke Sunday. It's fine when I'm doing nothing with it but get bad shooting pain when I have to do something a little strenuous with it.
Earlier I picked up a whacker plate to put in my car and the pain was pretty bad. I can feel it deep in my arm when I prod about I've found the spot it's originating from I think.

Any thoughts on what it might be and what I can do just to get me through the next couple of weeks and my comp then sort it completely?

Have a search with your other arm's elbow for any tight spots on your forearm that hurts, then when you find one apply a little pressure and flex your fingers, make a fist, make a wave with your fingers, that sort of thing. Might just be something like that.

I can't get my right elbow onto my left arm that hurts lol it's on the outside of my left arm.
I've tried doing it with my fingers pressing around but it just hurts more when I press on the part that's in pain

Get a ball or something else firm and press it, so you feel the soreness but nothing excessive. When you wriggle your fingers and flex them and movements like that you help align everything in your forearm as it should be again (well not exactly but that is the logic). Give it a go! If its too painful or doesn't help, go see a doctor!

When it comes to nerve pain, don't just think of the site of pain, think of everything above it, too. The most common cause of forearm pain for me, is my upper back and neck being too tight. Think of sciatica: a common symptom is shooting pain down your hamstrings, yet the damage/tightness is usually in the lumbar and glute regions.

Get well soon.

Cheers mate, it's not really getting any better, just trying not to use it.
Kills carrying my kids to bed.
I'm fine pressing, like log or something, just the clean where the pain comes

Not yet mate no. Was planning to give it week and see if/hope it goes. But doesn't look like it will.

I suppose I'll get in the quacks when I can but it never fills me with confidence seeing them as I've never had much help. Takes 2/3 weeks to get an appointment too

These might help you.

Try applying pressure where the 'x's in the pictures are (for the lat try a tennis ball against a wall). The muscle usually feels tender or tight like a bunch of guitar strings if you have the right spot. Move your hand and fingers around while the pressure's on. If you're lucky and find the right spot(s) then you'll notice a reduction in pain. Keep applying pressure for a couple of minutes and repeat a few times throughout the day. Stop if you lose feeling/consciousness/arm turns blue.

Hope it helps!
