knock knock !! who's there ?? OLD SCHOOL SUGDEN Member 212, 11439 posts SQ 325, BP 212.5, DL 370907.5 kgs @ 100kgs UnEq | Right you clever tits .. I`m fully nurished today - I`ve had my findus crispy pancakes and haribo .. Heres my question - Q- Pro slams have "i think" 30g of hydrolysen collagen protein in them . and i know for a fact i could drink ten of these a day .. 600 ml of liquid = 300g protein .. I`d have to drink around 8 pint of average protein powder to get similar to that which i cant do .. so what is the effectiveness/ difference with this "Hydrolysed Collagen Protein" Bulls**t ?? or just a costly but effective alternative ..

Sports an extremely muscular arse. Member 38, 6253 posts | I can recall reading about a diet which was popular in the 60's or something in which dieters were encouraged to eat mostly collagen protein, apparently a lot of people got very ill because of that. I can't find the link anywhere, and a quick google search shows a reemergence of these types of diets!

And recently now they have halved the bottle size and therefore liquid content yet still 30g protein .. I've not even read the heaps of s**t on the internet . Thought one of you guys who tells every f**ker what you've had for your tea each night might just know ..

Member 4046, 590 posts | Post Edited: 18.03.2014 @ 20:46 PM by dave_rogerson Do they have any other types of protein in them? Collagen on its own probably ain't that great mate as its an incomplete protein source. Little bits of scientific research show that when added to other proteins it may help prevent muscle wastage when people basically don't eat much, and that eating/drinking some may help with joints, skin and that. Its basically gelatin btw. EDIT: checked ingredient list and it has whey and casein in it too. No idea how much of each of the proteins but it probably doesn't matter much to be honest. CNP may have added it for a couple of reasons 1) The effects on nitrogen balance when combined with dairy proteins (not really worth worrying about it you eat a good amount of protein anyway)2) Collagen protein is probably fairly cheap.

doesnt work hard enough in the gym Member 1492, 2138 posts SQ 170, BP 145, DL 195510.0 kgs @ 112kgs UnEq | You could get a 300 grams of whey protein in a lot less liquid than 8 pints - that would be easier, surely

It's smaller than a shot glass that you get vodka etc in .. Vs 500g of milky tit juice ? So NO that's not really easier in any way surely. ?

Late reply, sorry I know the product you're talking about - it appears to be pants My "easier surely" comment relates to my assumption that you want to increase protein but don't want to consume vast amounts of liquid - there's a middle ground - a 100gram whey shake isn't that voluminous (word of the day) I'm a little sketchy as to why I started trying to offer advice to someone of your caliber, considering how rubbish I am I'm also fairly certain that protein powders are generally rubbish Forget I said anything !
