He can't handle competition golf. I played with him the night before we went away for a society tournament. We played about 12 holes and i gave him shots on SI 1-9, i was -1 gross through 9 and finished about +2 and we were all square at the end. He can't have been more than +6 after 12 holes. But on holiday (stableford) he hit 27,21,25,21 !!!! I played with him in a comp a few weeks ago and he had played to 12 couple days before and scored an 11 on the first hole in the comp lol | ||

I collect just the Newport head shape all 35" got some limited edition ones that are nice that ain't seen action on the course. Got to spend your cash on something! | ||

Shotgun start at 12.30. Then I can go back to being a lifter again. I play with Mizuno MP 650 driver, 3-wood and rescue and Mizuno MP57 irons. However I've dropped my 4 and 5 irons and replaced them with Mizuno Fli Hi iron hybrids which are far easier to hit. Using my Callaway 2-ball putter atm, but have a Scotty Futura, 2 Taylor Mades (Rossa and Ghost) Mizuno Dare to Dream and a Rife on standby. Currently play off 11, but blow very hot and cold. Played Harris in 74 ten days ago to win the Seniors Open, played Stornoway in 90 three days later. Used to find golf very frustrating when it was my main sport, but now it's not I enjoy it far more. Even when I play badly, I'm getting 4 hours gentle cardio in idyllic surroundings amongst friends.. | ||

If they had even been bogeys I've have broken 80 comfortably, so general play not too bad. Also had my first eagle putt of the year. Missed it, but good to get there.  | ||
