The date for this years South West Unequipped has not been finalised yet according to Mick Barry.
The Dorset /South West open unequipped at the end of January is not a replacement or substitute for that competition but is an official South West open competition supported by members of the SOUTH WEST COMMITTEE including chairman Richard Parker and president Mick Barry.
Although any performance at our competition may count as a qualification for the British Unequipped you will also have to satisfy your own divisional committee regarding your obligation to lift at the official Divisional championship.
Mick Barry(GBPF TECHNICAL OFFICER) has confirmed to me that any SOUTH WEST LIFTER MAY USE THIS COMPETITION AS A QUALIFIER FOR THE BRITISH.We cannot speak for other divisions!!
I understand completely if you plan to miss this competition and focus on others to avoid burning out.Makes good sense. We have good numbers already and any help you can give on the day will be most welcome.
I have just spoken to Mick on the phone to check the contents of this reply and he approved it .He also re-iterated that as well as three referees at or above national level, all lifters will have to comply with full drug testing proceedures at Bournemouth.
My email response should be with you as well. Thanks for the inquiry and i hope to see you at the competition.
Regards
Paul

I will probably not lift as I am gunning for BDFPA SE/SC and I cant see much chance of any PBs at the moment. I'll come along and watch/spot/load/sell raffle tickets Grin
