The dumbbell doesn't really suit Z. Yeah, he's obviously the strongest presser, but dumbbell requires a lot of technique which some of the others are better at. It really comes down to the technique of the others against Z's sheer power. While they may be trying to cater a bit to Z on the frame carry, remember that the Arnold is all about huge numbers every year (bigger if at all possible). There are other guys that struggle with the grip too, so take that out of the equation and crank up the weight I suspect is the thinking. At this level there's no guarantee that Z will win though. He still has to come to the competition in top form to move that kind of weight. He looked thinner in some of the pics on his facebook page and I suspect he needs to come in at 400lbs to win. I wouldn't bet against him, but he is getting older and at some point he won't be able to lift what he has in the past.

End of an era. Member 4646, 1964 posts | So thin handle dumbbell doesn't suit Z as suppose to the thick handle? Frame carry with straps doesn't suit Z as suppose to no straps? Yoke instead of stones doesn't suit Z? It is definitely fixed this year for a ''YANK'' to win. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Strongman_Classic You lot should actually check the events between 2009 and 2013 and the years Z competes, the events seem perfect for him and he still loses to the ''YANKS''..he almost loses last year, but doesn't matter they've now added straps to the frame carry. Even the biggest Z fan on here will admit adding straps is stupid and benefits Z massively. Also Poundstone won fair and square in 2009/10 regardless of judges decision.

Yoke instead of stones doesn't suit Z? Not particularly. Z is as good at stones as he is at yoke. It is definitely fixed this year for a ''YANK'' to win. No, it's not fixed for anyone. Not everything it a conspiracy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Strongman_Classic You lot should actually check the events between 2009 and 2013 and the years Z competes, the events seem perfect for him and he still loses to the ''YANKS''..he almost loses last year, but doesn't matter they've now added straps to the frame carry. I don't like the events, but the fact is Terry Todd likes to make everything stupid heavy and static - hardly suprising that this seems to "suit" Z.
