Member 6297, 99 posts | Great result from Tom and over the moon for him and Luke, who has obviously been a huge rock throughout their joint journey. Anyone have a Twitter account or something? I feel the BBC should at least put an article on BBC Sport about a Brit and the first Scot winning WSM.... considering most of today's coverage has been about transgender athletes in weightlifting there must be some interest in strength sports!

For me: Day 1 Viking Press, Meadley (Car Carry, Car Flip, Tyre), Wheel of pain Day 2 Loading Meadley (monster truck parts was good in Bahrain), Hercules Hold, Fingals race. Stones is great, but not as the decider every year. Same with log, it's getting overused at this stage. WSM should have a bit more wow factor in all events. Only the train was new this year.

One event I'd like to see that I haven't seen is a combined max. So for example you have 4 dumbbells and 4 axles set up — 110, 120, 130, 140 and 175, 185, 195, 205 — and you have 75s. The heaviest DB you do gets combined with the heaviest axle (multiple attempts ok). So I'd like: - Húsafell for distance - M-ax-bell - Head-to-head arm-over-arm up a slope like the boat back in 2009 or whenever it was - Car deadlift reps or deadlift ladder like the log ladder last year - Truck pull with laser finish line tech - Stones (they aren't going to change this)

In groups half the field missed the 4 implements. The other half took 20-30 secs in the final. Novi resorted to moonwalking something Shaw and Tom sprinted with. Any suggestion? More light implements maybe, but then most did the first 3 of 4 in groups.

I just think it's a little unfair when you have like, 6 competitors with a second difference between them, to me, if they are all that close a time, it comes down to more a luck of the draw in terms of time keeping than actually being the stand out best

Wasn’t really a factor this WSM though

Licis and Brice discussed it in the Facebook backstage live stuff. Thats why the WiFi and servers overheating meant they'd to pause until it cooled and buy a cooling tent this WSM. It wasn't just for the TV crews.

old age traveller Member 332, 7901 posts | Put a Heavy drag at the end of the medley, that should sort them out. 5 stones all at least 200kg

Avatar Member 5517, 1538 posts SQ 160, BP 165, DL 201526.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | I liked the head to head stones in heat. The return rule was a real advantage to 2nd. However, why have stones again in the final? It was the same stones final event for years now. Rogue platforms and 140-210kg 5 stones. It's SOOOOOO boring. Strongman has so many possible events. No show needs two stone offs.
