A little prief of my "career" Started training again in 2006 after 4 years being away from the gym. Found strongman training in 2007, as many of my friends trained sport allready. In 2008 I started learning oly lifts on my own, as I needed something new direction to my strongman trainings. I watched tons of vids from Youtube etc. and learned "power" versions of snatch and clean & jerk. It helped my training's back then and I was good shape in 2009 strongman season (second in Finland cup and fourth in u105kg Nationals). 2009-2010 I joined a local weightlifting club, and step by step my weekly trainings started to look like proper weightlifters trainings and strongman trainings started to falling off from my weekly training menu. So I lifted in 105 kg weight catecory and best result was 260 (110-150) from 2011. After lack of motivation I started to cut my weight in year 2012. I started to eat a bit less and started running 2-4 times per week. My goal was 94 kg weight category. September 2013 I did my record 262 (115-147)in 94 kg cat. October 2013 I got my first bigger injury as I got a slipped disk in my neck. To get back into shape and lift again took about six months and I lifted again in comp, May 2014. August 2014 I lifted my current record 263 (111-152) in 94 cat. Year 2015 didn't started wery well for me as I have a slipped disk in my neck now for second time. But it's not as bad as first one, so I'm confident to get fully training in May. Have A good trainings you all, and let's see if I'm able to get any writings to this blog. Juha | ||
