Accessory work? This seems like something I can bosh out quickly in the gym after it's closed.

Never done any accessory work. Every now and then I will do some rotator cuff work to prevent injury. I do row/pull up often though but not for bench training

After hospital I was weak as piss, but followed this that I previously shared to the letter, I got all my strength back in good time and then some...

It's on page 2 if anyone is interested, happy to elaborate should anyone need.
It's been very successful, 4 of us train together and all have decent numbers (170 from a lad that came to me with 1 pec, 185 after 18 month of training with no previous history, 190kg at 84kg-ish, and my self...). The numbers aren't phenomenal by any stretch, but all 4 of us are anti-peds and lift in tested federations.

Just wondering how you would organise your other lifts (i.e squats & deadlift) while doing this? Interested in running this for overhead press

Edit: awesome bench btw mate

Typically, I pair squat with bench in the same fashion. I would then do the same sets and % but only singles for deadlift (in SBD order each session).

I'm not sure how I would overhead, I found while I train OHP my bench outright stops progressing (not sure if its a loading thing between them or interference). You could extend the system so week one would be done over two weeks but OHP too:

Week1:
Mon - Be
Wed - OHP
Fri - Be

Week2:
Mon - OHP
Wed - Be
Fri - OHP

You could keep each lift in sequence, or could make wednesday the heavy day

Cheers Chris. I think my squat may be my dark horse though... we will see.

Very impressive stuff.

Is the squat your competition style? Seems like you should be able to carry the bar lower on your back.

Either way, 300kgs seems to be going down soon!

Thanks mate. I agree!
ps. I squat quite neutral. The way you see is the way I compete too but tend to squat faster (current fatigue prevents it).

Thank you! I've done a lot of reverse band benching and always self unrack which probably contributed to the lock out
