Tony "King of the Scots" Warbrook
Known worldwide as the man who dares the elements and bad conditions by training outside in his backyard rain or shine. His scottish guts are well known and only a fool would write him off from snatching some high points in many of his strongest events, especially the deadlift and the stones. failing that, he can always show you his abs.

Jonny "Sparrow" Mills
What this man lacks in fat or hair, he makes up in speed, agility and athletism. Yoke and farmers being usually his strongest events he will be taking the heavy stone for a beating as well. Expect the ladies in the crowd miss a few heartbeats as this man flies pass.

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
Will "The South" Sanderson
Cambridgeshire is well represented by Will Sanderson, a competetor with a lot of heart. Training on his own to the annoyance of his neighbours this man knows the meaning of dedication and hard work. A big log is on the cards for Will, and the bookies are busy taking bets if the 250kg deadlift will finally fall.

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
Carl "The Man-child" Sievewright
Competitions youngest participant, this southern powerhouse is aiming high in this competition. In many ways a dark horse has been getting stronger and better every week leading up to the big day. Dont let the looks fool you, he moves fast and strong with the yoke. Is most likely found next to the pie stand.

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
Jamiea "The Whippet"
Its a good thing that Jamie swapped bodybuilding to strength training because he is one to watch. At much lighter bodyweight than many other strongmen, he is still shifting some serious weight. Deadlift being his speciality, this man is just getting started.

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
James "The Trapman" Clayton
JC has been waiting for this competition like kid waits for xmas. A clear case of competition junkie, this man doesn't walk away from any challenge. He is faster with 300kg yoke than without, and farmers will be taken for a fast sprint as well. Nothing would make this man happier than a log PB on a day it matters.

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
Dungeon Andy
You put it front of Andy, and he will lift it. Never too bothered about numbers or if something is a bit beyond him, this man will simply just not give up. He will go all the way, and smile in the end. Expect to see a PB on most of the lifts simply because he wont remember what his previous PB was.

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
Jules "The Dutch Connection" Bremers
One of the netherlands connection, this Limburgs Strongest Man runner up has come leaps and bounds since he first joined Sugden Barbell forum. His overhead has improved, his deadlift has improved, his events improved - in fact the whole package has got better, including his command of written english.

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
tonyjb72 "PC Plod"
There are people who get scared when surrounded by strong monsters, but Tony isn't one of them. Despite being a total freshfaced newbie of the strongman world, this powerlifter is just taking the challenge head on. Expect PBs to be broken, 100% effort put in, and never say die attitude. Except when it comes to dieting.

Alex "Big Log" Moonen
Little is known about our second Dutch competitor, other than the fact that he is rumoured to be extremely big and extremely strong. With a log press reputed to be in the 150kg range, could this big Dutch man steal the show?

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
Nathan "The Tank"
One of Sugden's newer members, Nathan has been training hard for this competition, and will be competing despite a sad family loss. This big lad from Brum seems to have the lifts that could make him a real threat to the other competitors!

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
Kieran "bhamstaff"
At just 23, Brummie Kieran is one of the younger competitors in Sugdens Strongest Man. However, he already boasts a 300kg deadlift and a raw 180kg bench - so he will definitely be one to watch out for.

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
Vinny "Mr Fourth Place"
Bookies favourite to place fourth, this guy stormed his way through the severn valley competition last year. Big overhead, big deadlift, and plenty of experience with strongman events. This man is not planning to travel all the way from Devon to go down easy.

http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/uploads/misc/sugdens-strongest-...
bren35 "The Mystery"
Who the f**k is Bren? Thats the question people won't be asking after the SSM competition. Bren stepped in at a late stage after few cancellations but it didnt mean he was spending his time sitting on his hands. This man has a big powerlifting total, some competitions under his belt, and potential to cause a major upset in many of the events. Keep your eyes on this guy.
