Standard bar height for deadlift
What is the normal 'competition' bar height for deadlift? Mine sits at 7" off the floor, but I've heard 9" is the 'normal' height. And does it really matter??

LOL. You are pulling from a 2" deficit so yes it matters.
Ha! I discovered something similar on my bar height recently too.

Look up the diameter of a competition plate, half that then subtract half the diameter of a competition bar - that's the distance from the floor to the bottom of the bar (easier to measure than the centre of the bar.
Yes it does matter.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, John!
so my 255 pull earlier this year was at 2" deficit. Awesome.

That'd be about 16" according to my bar.......
(That, of course, is a joke)
