just think its quite sad when someone comes for advice and ends up getting b**ch slapped.

im s**t a squats mouser but they looked ok to me. dont beat yourself up about depth and weight. get your technique sorted and then put the weights on.
ive had to go back to the drawing board on squats cause im s**t on them

LOL

what is low about my shots??

i am quite frankly, flattered with the attention

Carl, maybe I'm really getting the wrong end of the stick, and if so then I apologise. But when I first posted the squat video you objected to I said I thought it was high and you ripped on me for posting it. I've titled my journal 'Mouser learns to squat properly', I've trained with Phil in Brighton primarily to get advice to improve my squatting. I'm not claiming to be some uber-squatter and I've asked people's advice plenty of times before.

Yet on the thread on MT you said:
thats bollox mate, the camera never lies LOL you sound like a powerlifting watch outcast!!!

On here you laugh, like my squats are some kind of joke when I'm asking for help, then you call me sad and assume that the only reason I'm asking for people's advice, even though I've asked before, is because of what you said.

Quite frankly it comes across as you having a major problem with me, and it really puts me off posting any more videos. If I'm wrong and you meant something completely different rather than trying to piss me off then say so and we can forget all about it.

that was in response to this

Probably an inch or two high, the perspective is a bit out on that due to the height and position of the lens.

I'm not claiming that my 175 bench is to comp standards either (not paused for a start), but as a gym lift it'll do.

255 deadlift today taking my (gym) total to 620, although I used straps for it as my grip seems weak today Unhappy

Mouser, you want to compete in the future ? or just asking about technique to improve your training in general ?
if you want to compete i would suggest you invest in some proper lifting shoes/ boots, can help quite a bit with position. and defo ditch the jeans.

Mouser, keep your thinning hair on.

In the infrequent visits I make to MT these days, I notice that you mention Carl in your posts at a ratio of 2 : paedophile.

Perhaps backing off from mentioning one person quite so frequently in your online journal on another forum would help reduce animosity.

I would have passed two of your squats at most. Certainly not massively high by any means, but depth still needs a bit of work.

Nathan, this thread also relates to another forum, so the entire story is not confined to these last few posts.

I hope Toby doesn't lock this.

Mouser, strong squats there. Just get them a wee bit lower and you'll be guaranteed a passed lift every time in GBPF/IPF meets.

Now lets all be friends again and talk about squatting in heels or flats, 3 versus 4 per week splits, westside vs sheiko, squatting and deadlifting on the same day, creatine use, sumo vs conventional, raw vs equipped, bench shirts, single ply, multy ply etc etc etc and let the world be at peace once again!

Phew! Thought we were going to have a Harry Hill moment. My comments were from a (new) referee's perspective in case you plan to compete, and were designed to help, not knock.

heels, 3-gym 1-events, westside, can be done now and again but dead energy suffers big time, i use it but doubt it actually works, conventional is manlier, raw for me all the way, except at my next comp?????

Hi Mouser, not sure if you'll come in here and read this, but Martin and I are both BDFPA refs (I think! I know I am and he is either a BDFPA or a GBPF ref) and Titch trains with a bunch of very good IPF lifters. The squats were a little bit high, but looked strong (certainly the 140x5 looked strong) and were close to depth. And way lower than you see in most gyms.

As for Carl being 19, I find that difficult to believe. I imagined him to be about 12 when I met the chubby f**ker last year. And Carl, Dean Bowring pointed you out at the All England and said you had a great build for powerlifting. Don't disappoint him.
