You will give Screamer a run for his money I think. I think I am. Around xmas new year my appendix went boom and I had sepsis, had to have lots of lumbar punctures and dropped down to about 85kg... My goal this year was to get back to my previous comp total of 800 with a little in the tank. I think I'm above that now, so I'm just taking s**t as it comes. Next year will be a different story, but I hope to make waves this British Classic even if I'm a far cry from where I will be.. Thanks mate.

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 19322 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | One - fabulous squat, my hat is off to you Two - I totally agree with Big Macca on the bar Three - One thing you could try is not to lock the plates up too tight. If you leave a fraction on an inch of a gap between the plates (and I do mean tiny gaps) there is a theory that the weights will clang together as you move and some energy will be lost as noise leaving less to cause the whipping effect.

Thank you Pete. The funny thing is, I have literally just started using proper collars, and as you point out, the wobble is much more obvious with them...it's like every little movement is transferred to the bar. Good shout!

I recommend the track - Slut Machine Member 6043, 957 posts SQ 350, BP 195, DL 350895.0 kgs @ 150kgs UnEq | I'll second the Rogue bars, it's the 'Ohio' one I believe. We have a couple in the gym and they are a great alternative to an elieko in terms of stiffness. Texas power bar is suitable for bench and that's about it in my opinion.

no really Irish Member 1196, 5908 posts SQ 312, BP 230, DL 320862.0 kgs @ 114kgs UnEq | trained with the texas power bar for 2 years and whilst it's an excellent bar it isn't a shade on the Rouge Ohio power bar. In terms of power bars I've used for SBD 1 - Rogue Ohio/Elikeo Power (used both in the same session literally zero differemce best all round if you compete IPF and are serious you shouldn't use any other bar for SBD variations) 2 - Texas Power Bar (too whippy, excellend build quality, good knurling, only 1 spacing) 3 - Ivanko Power Bar (whippy as f**k, good build quality, crap knurling, good grip spacings) I have used a few budget bars (SS. Bison) and would recommend spending your money on a good bar save it elsewhere.

What would be closest to an IPF comp bar, the TPB or BB(P)? the BB feels a little thicker..

Don't think I've used the bas***d bar (or at least to my knowledge) used plenty of SS bars in various gyms so I might have. My instinct would be TPB.
